The attire for the Workshop on “Applying Innovative Tools in the Fight Against Corruption” and the 14th SEA-PAC Principals Meeting will be business attire, i.e., business suit and tie for men and the equivalent for ladies. Two-way airport transfers (for arrivals on 28 October 2018 and departures on 31

Standard check-in time is 2:00 p.m. and latest check-out time is at 12:00 noon. Those who are arriving earlier or departing later may be asked to shoulder the additional costs of accommodation since arrangements for early check-in or late check-out cannot be guaranteed.

All foreign delegates will be met by a security and protocol officer at the airport and escorted to the hotel. Participants are requested to print the attached badge and wear it at the airport for identification. Please use the same badge as luggage tags for easier identification of airport coordinators who will claim the luggage on behalf of the delegation.

Individual cars will be provided for Principals or Heads of Delegation, to be accompanied by an official from the Office of the Ombudsman and an interpreter, if available. Vans will be provided for other members of the delegation, accompanying persons and luggage. For the departure, vehicles will also be provided on scheduled trips. A team of security and protocol officers will be assigned for each country delegation. The officers will be responsible for channeling the relevant concerns of the delegation and/or its members to the responsible team or office. B. Invitational Activity (29 November 2017)

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), in partnership with the Office of the Ombudsman is organizing a one-day regional workshop on 29 November 2017 to discuss the contribution that Anti-Corruption agencies in Southeast Asia can make to the implementation of Articles 10 and 13 of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC). NGOs and representatives of the civil society and business sector will be invited to participate and contribute to identifying ways to develop or enhance multi-stakeholders approaches for enhancing transparency and accountability of public services, improving access to information and participation of society in the fight against corruption.

It is highly encouraged that delegates to the SEA-PAC Meeting register to this activity as the proceedings of the workshop are expected to constitute a set of guiding principles and ideas to be implemented in the countries of the region under the leadership of the SEA-PAC members.

Registration to the workshop can be signified in the same Registration Form to the SEA-PAC Meeting.

Location and Area: Myanmar is geographically located in South East Asia, sharing borders with the People’s Republic of China, Lao PDR and Kingdom of Thailand on the east and the Republic of India and Bangladesh on the west and north-west. The total land area is 676,577 square kilometers. It stretches for 986 kilometers from east to west and 2051 kilometers from north to south, with a coastline of 2,229 kilometers. About Nay Pyi Taw: Nay Pyi Taw is the administrative capital of the country. Centrally located, it is 391 km from Yangon and 302 km from Mandalay and accessible from all parts of the country. Nay Pyi Taw comprises eight townships namely Zeyar Thiri, Pohbba Thiri, Uttara Thiri, Zabu Thiri, Dekhina Thiri, Pyinmana, Leiway and Tatkone. The Nay Pyi Taw International Airport is about 30-minute drive from the city. Domestic carriers, both public and private, operate daily flights from Yangon to Nay Pyi Taw.

Weather information: Myanmar has a monsoon climate with three seasons: Cool, Hot and Rainy. The weather during November to February is colder than other two seasons. March to June is hot in most part of the country. During rainy season (July to October) rainfall can be constant for long periods to time. Temperature varies from 38º C to 90º C.

Time: Local time in Myanmar is 6 hours and 30 minutes ahead of GMT.

Currency: The local currency is Kyat. Currency can be changed at the banks, money changers and some hotels. The current exchange rate is approximately

The Eleventh Meeting of parties to the Memorandum of Understanding on Preventing and Combating Corruption (SEA-PAC) will be convened on 1-3 December 2015 in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam. The tentative program is attached as Annex I.
The Meeting will be convened at Songket Hall 2, Level 4, Rizqun International Hotel.

The Rizqun International Hotel is located approximately 20km from Brunei Darussalam International Airport. The travel takes about 10-15 minutes by car. A SEA-PAC Information Desk will be stationed at the Brunei International Airport arrival lounge during the arrival period of participants (subject to changes).

Transportation will be provided throughout the meeting for participants. Kindly inform the Secretariat of your itineraries in advance.

The recommended attire for the meeting will be business attire.

The recommended attire for the official dinner will be smart casual.

As previous SEA-PAC meeting practice, the host will cover the organizational cost of meeting facilities. Other cost of participation will be borne by the delegates.

Brunei Darussalam is generally hot and humid throughout most of the year. In December, temperatures in average around 29-35º Celsius.

Currency

The local currency is BND. Participants can change currency at the Brunei Darussalam International Airport, the Rizqun International Hotel, the Gadong Mall or banks. The current exchange rate is approximately USD1 = BND/SGD 1.34634
