The Cooperation with Private Sector
Up to early 2018, Anti-Corruption Unit has signed 88 MoUs with private sectors and public enterprises. Until today there have been over 500 companies and public enterprises have been covered under the signed MoUs which include the European Chamber of Commerce, congest of hundreds of private companies. The cooperation with the private sector aims to eliminate the irregularities such as the demanding bribes from companies by cornered competent officials. The Key strength of the MoUs is that the company can report the case of bribes demanded by public officials during the business operations to the Unit, and the Unit will take action urgently via the contact point representing both the company and the Unit.
