Anti-Corruption Efforts in Public Procurement amid the Covid-19 Pandemic in 2021
In this situation, integrity in public procurement has become a hot topic, especially due to the urgent need for strategic goods, and Cambodia has put forward proactive measures to ensure integrity and transparency in the implementation of expenditure by the head of the Royal Government of Cambodia has sent a message reminding and re-admonishing to adhere to “self-reflecting, bathing, rubbing, curing, and surgery” approach in the performance of work and not to pardon or tolerate the corruption of any person.
In general procurement at procurement units, the ACU has continued to participate in preventing irregularities by shifting from direct observation to review of relevant documents in the procurement process of more than 700 projects of 101 procurement units and taking immediate action on complaints related to procurement.
