The Efforts made on Drafting Law on Protection of Witnesses and Law on Protection of Reporting Persons
The Anti-Corruption Unit has been working actively on the drafting of Law on Protection of Witnesses and Law on Protection of Reporting Persons. On 29-30 March 2017 with the collaboration with UNODC, ACU organized a National Roundtable Consultation on the above 02 mentioned draft laws aiming to collect inputs as well as to mainstream the knowledge to the participants concerned with the Witnesses Protection Law and Reporting Persons Protection Law from the experiences shared by the experts from UNODC and Anti-Corruption & Civil Rights Commission of the Republic of Korea as well as many other inputs from related parties. Currently, both laws have been put into consultation with Ministry of Justice before further send to the Council of Ministers to check before sending to the National Assembly for adoption.
